The Service Manager, Sara, was very welcoming and extremely knowledgeable when it came to my car’s intake information; to communicating diagnostic results. She was very clear on what was most important and WHY. They were very busy but worked with me to get my vehicle into the shop as quickly as possible so that my car was safe to drive out of town by the time I needed to leave. They also got creative in how they got parts and actually sent a runner in-person to get the parts needed rather than ordering them to ensure my car was back to me before my trip out of town. They did all of this without me having to ask, and they did it happily.I would recommend them to anybody. The rest of the staff seems happy to be there and very professional. They also have a great mascot (their dog Bowser) that is very sweet and welcoming when you get there. He wags his tail a lot and enjoys petting. They offer a ton of servicing/repair options and make it an overall great experience to work with them. I just got my car back today, and this was the second time I’ve done business with them, and both times I received the same level of service which leads me to believe they are consistent with the way they run their business. I already have an appointment with them set in a few months to get some more work done. Thank you Specialty Auto!

UPdate! Avoid this place at all costs, took my Subaru here for CVT service, brake fluid flush, etc, they told me rear brakes needed replaced, I trusted their word got it done and paid. Turns out when I picked up my car, the mechanic had only sucked the brake fluid out of master cylindar reservoir and put new in...in the process he spilled it on my paint and tried to act like nothing happened! The discolored paint was clearly visible, they then tried to buff it out and burnt through the paint with a heavy handed electric buffer, should've done light hand buffing. They were going to repaint front of my car...no I need my car now...they took couple hundred off the bill but. Couple weeks later my brake fluid is looking nasty dirty again...clearly the 'mechanic' only replace what was in the reservoir but I paid for full system flush! Also found out that my rear brake pads had months of life left as the Subaru pads are not super thick to start with and don't wear that quickly especially since I'm not a brake rider or late braker.

Took my Subaru Impreza to Sacramento Specialty Auto to diagnose some front end noise and have some 100k+ mile services completed. After a thorough diagnosis, the front end noise was determined to be something very minor. They could have easily said it was something major which needed repair, but they were completely honest and transparent in what was discovered. The vehicle diagnoses report was impressive and contained pictures, immediate service recommendations, future service recommendations and complete explanations of why said services were needed. Sarah was amazing and took the time to answer all my questions on how to keep my Subaru running for years to come. It was easy to see all the knowledge they have gained from being in business for over 20 years. Their webpage says, "we are proud of our reputation as one of the Sacramento area’s most trustworthy auto repair shops." I can say that I truly believe this statement and they now have a customer for life. I highly recommend Sacramento Specialty Automotive.
